Privacy Policy

Your financial database stays on your device. Violet Codex does not collect or store your personal financial information: there is no server where your financial data lives, no cloud account for it, and no way for us to access it. Optional features, such as PDF statement parsing, send only what you choose to their provider.

What we collect

• License activation data (your email address) — to deliver your license key and send update notifications
• Anonymous usage analytics (aggregate, non-personal) — to understand which features are used
• Contact form submissions — only when you reach out to us directly

What we do NOT collect

• Your financial database — it is never uploaded to our servers
• Bank login credentials — we never ask for them
• Transaction history or account balances

Local-first by design

Violet Codex is built on a local-first architecture. All financial data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your hard drive, protected by AES-256 encryption. Only you have the key.
